Yes! Students are responsible for having their own instruments/materials for online lessons. 

Students are responsible for the purchase of their own books, instruments, and other materials needed for the lessons they are receiving. There are links on our website for each instrument category. However, certain teachers may recommend supplementary materials based on the needs of the student. The student also must bring a 3-ring binder, pencil, and spiral notebook (or paper).

Under the MUSIC AND PROFESSIONAL AUDIO section, select "show in meeting option to enable ORIGINAL SOUND. Also SELECT the box for HIGH FIDELITY MUSIC MODE. You should DESELECT ECHO CANCELLATION to ensure that all sounds from the instrument are heard.

Yes! Our online lessons are for students 5 and up.

We want all our lessons to be the best educational experience possible. Students are expected to prepare their lesson material to the best of their ability. This is your homework! Being unprepared for your lesson is disrespectful to the teachers’ time, and will not help the lesson be as productive as it could be. Please also maintain the best possible care of your instrument to make sure it is in the best playable condition for every lesson.

Students are expected have his or her instrument fully assembled before the lesson begins to start as close to on time as possible.

Yes! Practice makes perfect : )

• Students taking 30-minute lessons should practice 30 minutes/day, 4-5 days/week.
• Students taking 60-minute lessons should practice 60-120 minutes/day, 6-7 days/week.

Quality practicing is without distractions. Practice time should take place in a quiet, well lit, and comfortable area. Practice time should be interruption-free (i.e. no phone calls/texting, no TV, no computer, etc.).

These expectations will help the student be as prepared as possible for each individual lesson as progress is made most quickly by those students who maintain the recommended practicing time. This also helps with each student’s physical and mental stamina, which will make each lesson more productive, thereby increasing the value of each lesson.

Practice sessions should be at least 30 minutes in length for younger students. This may be split up into two 15 minute sessions to maximize focus.

Older students should use breaks during longer practice sessions, usually taking 5 minutes of rest after every 30 minutes of practice.

*Fatigue and injuries due to overuse can eventually become a concern if the student does not utilize sufficient practice breaks.

It is recommended that parents sit in on lessons for students under the age of 12, to learn along with them. It is also strongly recommended that students record each Zoom lesson, so that the student can reference it during the week for help. This can be done by asking permission from the host to record.

Parents are encouraged to be involved in their students practice, as all children/students need help with discipline. Expect to have to remind and encourage your children to practice, and supervision of practice may be required until a routine is begun. Students and parents both need to be accountable for consistent, quality practice.

Yes! We strongly recommended that students record each Zoom lesson, so that the student can reference it during the week for help. This can be done by asking permission from the host to record and save the lesson to your device.

If you are running late for any reason, email/text the teacher as soon as possible. Your lesson time will not be extended because you are late, and you will still be charged the full amount for that lesson. If the teacher is running late for any reason, they will notify you as soon as possible and make up the full lesson time to you. There will be a 5 minute buffer for all zoom lessons.

If you have to miss a lesson for any reason, you are required to notify the school at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled lesson time, or you will be charged for that lesson. If the teacher has to miss a lesson for any reason, they will notify as soon as they know of the conflict, and will do their best to schedule a make-up lesson if this occurs.

Rescheduled lessons with more than 24 hour notice should not occur more than once every month. In order to respect the teachers’ time, we ask that you commit to your agreed upon lesson day/time. Repeated cancellations/rescheduling may result in termination of lessons.

If you are gone on vacation, please let the school know 2 weeks in advance, so that the teacher may adjust their schedule accordingly.

Unexcused lessons will not be tolerated. You will still be charged for missing a lesson without prior notice. Consecutive unexcused absences are grounds for termination of lessons and you are still required to pay for missed lessons.

Lessons are offered weekly in 30-minute, and 60-minute lessons. The prices are as follows:

Zoom Lessons

$55 – per 30-minute lesson
$110 – per 60-minute lesson

Payment should be made electronically through Stripe or PayPal. Payments via invoice are due on the 1st of each month. We reserve the right to permanently terminate lessons if payment is missed for three consecutive lessons.

Online Music lessons that have been booked and paid for via our website are paid in full at the time of purchase and can be managed through your customer/student portal.  

Yes! You can purchase packages of 4, 8, or 12, lessons at a time. Lessons should be paid on the 1st of each month.

Package Discounts:

• 8 lessons at a time receives a $20 discount;
• 12 lessons receives a $40 discount;
• 16 lessons receives a $60 discount.
